Oliver DeMille,
I have several of these throughout the house; I keep them several feet from potential fire sources (kitchen, garage, utility room, wood stove, etc.), in addition to fire extinguishers. They're great gifts, too, especially at this price.

I keep these in a few places -- i roast coffee and that can be a bit dangerous, so one there, take one when we go camping (and it sits in the car) and one around my 3d printer. Simple easy protection to have around to help contain a fire if it happens.

If you've ever used a chemical fire extinguisher, you know that after use it can leave unwelcome debris and residue. I like that these emergency fire blankets let you snuff out a fire without having to deal with the residual mess. The size and weight of them seem appropriate to the task. The supplied gloves are okay to have, but in an emergency I don't think I'd take the time to put them on.
I think these fire blankets are very much worth the cost. I've purchased several fire extinguishing tanks through the years that weren't used before their expiration date. The cost of the unused tanks would more than have covered the cost of these blankets that don't expire.

These fire blankets are a nice addition to the safety kit in any home, camper, or car. It is always better to be prepared for emergency situations to prevent injury and being able to deal with a fire quickly is an important part of home safety. A fire blanket is easier to use than an extinguisher and makes much less of a mess, although I will still keep my extinguisher handy in the kitchen to use in addition to the blankets. The instructions are simple, and I like that they are printed in large print on the front of the blanket bag to be referenced quickly. The bags include hooks that go into the grommets in the top making them easy to hang in a closet or on the wall. The hooks being included is a huge plus! Each blanket comes with a thick set of gloves as well. The gloves alone are not fireproof, but when handling the fiberglass blanket, they can protect your hands to some degree and allow a better grip. My only complaint is that the gloves do not have a tag or attachment that can be put over the hook to keep the gloves with the blanket. I would consider the blankets single use. Nice product!

Fortunately I haven’t had to test this product in a fire. I can say that it looks like it will do the job of smothering a small fire. They talk about the mess caused by using a fire extinguisher to do the same thing and I can say from experience that a powdered fire extinguisher makes a big corrosive mess. This looks like a good alternative. It should do will sitting in wait to be used if necessary without degrading. It also occurred to me that it might be nice to have one of these in my car since it won’t roll around in the trunk and damage things. These came with hooks so they can be hung up and they have two black strips for you to grab on to and pull the blanket quickly from the velcro package. With a fire, time is very important and these strips could make all the difference.

Exactly as advertised. Makes me feel safer. I have not had the need to actually use so can’t verify that they work but I feel comfortable that they would.
Put one in each bedroom and one near stove/oven area.

I have not had to use them nor have I unpacked it from its container. My nephew suffered a horrible burn injury in a kitchen fire this summer and if he had this it could have been avoided. I bought on for our house, one for our RVand one for our BBQ room.

These were smaller and more compact than I was expecting which is great. I was able to place one in the kitchen, one in my motor home and on in the garage. Haven’t had to use but should the need arise we’ll be ready

These blankets hang well and made our congregation feel much safer during our Christmas celebrations with candles lit.
The open easy and blankets come out is literally a second. Great buy.

Excellent and well-designed breakaway covering with a professional quality blanket inside. The best Quality and design I have found, and also much cheaper than others

I hope I'll never have to write a review as to how this product actually works but so far so good. I've attached it just below a cork board hanging inside the pantry door in the kitchen. Every member of the family has had a turn at lifting up the velcro top flap and having the blanket fall out and down. As mentioned in description it is folded over lengthwise several times to get it to fit vertically in the bag and then also once unfolded it needs to be unfolded four times in the other direction. It almost takes two people to get it back in the bag once its mounted. Much easier to get it back in when the bag is flat on a table.

Very useful things. To my luck I can't check how it work. I really hope not to have check. Great thanks and the FIVE STARS to this seller!!! I recommend to buy from him.
